Thanks Sehseh for the link. Pinyin-fied to Cantonese pronunciation. Some I can understand. Some I can't/ Very HK modern lindo. Will upload someone reading in Cantonese later on a much slower pace and also attempt at a decent translation. I think I am destined to fail. When  hearing Kenneth's recital, the ones in italic I suspect is wrong.

Kong Nam* Sap Pat Sik
18 Stratagems of Hong Kong Men
*I suppose Kong Nam is a derogatory term like Kong Lui. As far as I can simplify it, Kong Lui is like Ah Lian and Kong Nam to me should be Ah Beng? 1. I noticed an error with the 1st strategem. It should be 装假狗.

    Hope this helps.

Is this really the meaning? When I switch on the radio before going out to create an illusion of someone at home, I also call it 'Jong Ga Gau'. This has always been the meaning I understand of the phrase.

  1. I am not sure, just put it there for discussion sake. So by what you mean is create an illusion?
